	Solar Camping Site in Germany

Camping sites represent one of the most suitable applications for solar thermal systems.

Not only in the North European countries but also even in mediterrenean regions solar thermal systems are not common systems for preparation hot water at camping sites. The objective of the SOLCAMP project is to create, to implement and to monitor a campaign for increased use of solar thermal systems at camping sites.

In strong collaboration with the relevant partners, in particular tourism and camping associations, the "SolarCheckCamping" has been developed and in each region consultants - "SolarCheckers" - have been trained. SolarCheckers provide camping site owners with independent information regarding planning data and favourable financing schemes free of sales interests.
